5 Signs – Something is Wrong with The Hormone

How to distinguish normal from disease? What signs can tell a woman that something is wrong with hormones?

These issues discussed in an American medical website Health.com asked Alyssa door, MD, an obstetrician-gynecologist in Mount Kisco Medical Group in New York.

Fatigue

“If you are tired after a week of final exams and Abraham at work, then that’s fine – says Dr. Door – but if you are experiencing chronic fatigue, as well as notice weight gain, increased appetite, and violations of the chair, then this indicates a decline in thyroid function”.

Skin Changes

“Acne in adults or acid acne in the lower half of the face may indicate a high level of testosterone,” – explains Dr. Door. Yes of course, life is not dangerous, but can be bad for your mental state. Fortunately, the problem is solved with the help of drugs that stabilize hormone levels, and purifies the skin.

Hair Growth

“If suddenly you had dark coarse hair on the chin or on the chest, back and arms, it can be a symptom of testosterone-secreting tumors,” – explains Dr. Door. But do not worry: the tumor is rare and often they can be treated with medication or surgery.

Menstrual Disorders

Menstrual irregularities can be the consequences of such factors as stress, thyroid problems, low estrogen or poly-cystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). “The hallmark of PCOS is irregular or missed periods,” – explains Dr. Door. Typically, PCOS is controlled with diet, exercise, and pill.

Night sweats can cause a decrease in estrogen levels during menopause. “Joining the menopause can last for 10 years – says Dr. Doors – so if you have any seizures night sweats up to 40 years, it may be indicative of early menopause.”
